Luna Silva Law, LLP was founded in 2016 by Eric Silva and Jacob Luna to give employers and carriers a workers’ compensation defense practice with nothing else on the docket.
Since 2016, the firm has represented employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators exclusively on the defense side of California workers’ compensation claims. That focus is deliberate: cases move faster and cost less to litigate when the attorney handling them isn’t splitting attention across unrelated areas of law.
Both founding partners work directly with clients on case strategy — from the initial claim evaluation through hearing, reconsideration, and appeal — so risk managers and claims examiners are working with the attorney trying the case, not a rotating cast of associates.

Eric Silva has spent nearly three decades on the defense side of California workers' compensation, representing employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators before the WCAB. His practice centers on contested claims that require sustained litigation — cross-examination of medical experts, hearing strategy, and case resolution that protects a client's loss experience over the long term.
Jacob Luna
Founding Partner
Jacob Luna co-founded the firm in 2016 to give employers and carriers a defense practice built entirely around workers' compensation — not a general-practice firm handling claims on the side. He works directly with risk managers and claims examiners to set litigation strategy early, so cases are trial-ready long before they reach a hearing.
